MVP Spotlight

 

TD is a longtime sponsor of the Blue Jays, and for the 2021 season, we were tasked with coming up with an idea for Opening Day.

With COVID looming, we came back with the MVP Spotlight, a celebratory idea that could work in-stadium or completely online and our clients loved it so much, it became a season-long series culminating with an in-stadium celebration on Fan Appreciation Weekend 7 months later.

 
 

Finding fantastic fans.

An expedited spot (above) aired in Jays broadcasts and online informing fans that TD was celebrating the off-the-field MVPs from coast to coast and encouraging them to submit a nomination online for a chance to win.

Shining the spotlight.

With nominees pouring in (more than a thousand over the season) we picked the most inspiring stories to tell, ensuring that our MVPs each brought something unique to the game and were really doing some good through the sport.

Then, after 8 nimble documentary style shoots, we shared their stories.
